We managed these shooting grounds for more than 15 years !
Near from Chambord, in the Loire Valley, a 450 Hectares estate owned by the Marquise de Pompadour, fenced by stone wall, was built during the XVIIth century. You can practice stalking or wild boars driven shooting.
It is one of the largest fenced estate in France where live an extraordinary population of wild boars and red deers.
Christian Picard who now organizes these shoots for more than 15 years will share with you his hunting experience as he always will manage your day.
3 different types of hunt are practiced:
- "Grandes battues" : 20 to 30 guns, large drives with hounds and beaters.
- "Petites poussées" : 8 to 10 guns, smaller drives with 4 to 5 beaters and dogs.
- "Chasse à l'approche et au mirador" : with your own guide, you will stalk to collect trophies.
Spend a day at Ménars, and you will not forget it ! |
